2 seriously injured after 3-vehicle crash in east Austin, ATCEMS says

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two people suffered serious injuries after a three-vehicle in east Austin early Saturday morning, Austin-Travis County EMS said on Twitter.Shortly before 4:45 a.m. Saturday, medics responded to a vehicle-rescue to an entrapped person in reference to the three-vehicle crash at 800-805 East Cesar Chavez Street, according to the tweet.The entrapped patient, who was not identified, was extricated from the vehicle. That patient, along with another, were taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with potentially serious injuries, medics said.No other information was available, and the incident remained under investigation Saturday.

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Cornwall man has been arrested following a rape investigation, according to police. John Kyle Dizon, 23, is facing multiple charges. On June 1, police received information that an adult man had sexual contact with a child. The investigation determined that Dizon allegedly had sexual contact with a child less than thirteen years old in April of 2022 while in the town of Bethlehem. Police say that at the time of the incident, Dizon was employed as a law enforcement officer for the State of New York University Police at SUNY Albany, and is no longer employed by the agency. At the time of arrest, he was reportedly actively employed as a law enforcement officer by the Newburgh Police Department. **UPDATE** The boil advisory issued Friday has been lifted as of 3 p.m. Saturday, according to the City Water Division. ST. LOUIS - A major water main break at Lansdowne and Chippewa caused some people in St. Louis to have low or no water pressure. Collector of Revenue Gregory FX Daly says that crews are working to isolate the break in the 20-inch main.“The street flooded, as you can see behind me,” said Nick Desideri, a communications director for the City of St. Louis. “We’ve had more than 60 water main breaks since October 2022. Unfortunately, this is the latest. The water division immediately deployed crews to staunch the break. Toddler killed by driver backing up in southern Missouri

OREGON COUNTY, Mo. - A toddler was fatally struck by a driver backing up Friday afternoon in southern Missouri. The collision happened on private property at 124 County Road in Thayer, Missouri. A two-year-old boy died in the collision. Precautionary boil advisory after major St. Louis water main break The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the vehicle started backing up and struck the toddler. The victim was quickly rushed to a hospital, but died from his injuries. MSHP has not yet disclosed any other information related to the crash or whether this might lead to criminal charges. MSHP Troop G, which covers many counties in the Missouri Ozarks, is handling the investigation.
