After running high-end and Michelin-starred restaurants in Palo Alto for 14 years, chef Bruno Chemel and wife Christie Ledesma Chemel have closed their Bistronomie by Baumé and bid “au revoir” to diners.The news came via a posting on the restaurant website. “Merci Beaucoup! SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) -- A suspect is in custody after a police officer was shot by a suspect while responding to a family disturbance at a home on Auzerais Avenue Wednesday morning, the San Jose Police Department confirmed. The female officer who was shot was transported to a hospital. At a media briefing, police said they had no update on the officer's condition. The suspect was taken into custody around 12:30, according to officers at the scene.Officers arrived at a residence in the area of Auzerais and Race streets around 8 a.m. Officers contacted residents at the door and immediately began taking gunfire, police said. (KRON) -- A funeral service is planned for a 6-year-old boy who was stabbed to death inside a San Jose home. Jordan Cam Walker and his great-grandmother were violently slain on August 4 inside an apartment in the Buena Vista neighborhood."With heavy hearts, we must come to celebrate the life of Jordan Cam Walker, a beloved 6-year-old child who loved the outdoors, swimming, playing baseball, and basketball," the boy's family wrote. The 5-foot-10 Mitchell, from Charlotte, N.C., will be honored Nov. 12 prior to tipoff of the Gamecocks home game against Maryland, the school announced Wednesday. BOSTON (AP) — A former military police officer who was convicted of multiple murders and sentenced to more than 200 years in prison for his part in a 2015 Brazilian massacre has been arrested in New Hampshire, immigration officials said. Antônio José de Abreu Vidal Filho, 29, became the subject of an active Interpol Red Notice issued by the international criminal police organization after he was convicted of 11 murders and sentenced in June to nearly 276 years in prison, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations office based in Boston said in a news release Wednesday.He was arrested Monday in Rye, New Hampshire and will remain in custody pending a hearing before a federal immigration judge.
